Instructor Bios

Marc Miller:

Marc Miller has over 10 years of coaching experience. With accomplishments in all forms of motorsports (karting, formula cars, stock cars and sports car racing), Marc brings a vast knowledge base to his students regardless of their class or experience. Most recently, he was runner-up in the Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup Championship with an unprecedented eight straight podium finishes. Marc is a multi-time national karting champion, including 2008 Rotax Max Grand National Champion, representing Team USA in Lissone, Italy. As Director of Brand Development for MRP Motorsport, importer for Birel Racing Karts and Rotax Kart Engines, he spends much of his time training dealers about kart prep, marketing and customer service.

Marc offers individual and small group coaching for Data Acquisition Analysis & Focus Training and Mental Preparation. In addition, Marc's approach goes above and beyond the basic teachings of car control. Utilizing his background in communications and psychology, Marc put together regimens that strengthen mental focus and preparation in addition to driver development. Tim Lobaugh:

Tim Lobaugh has been involved in karting for 22 years and has been working directly on the Birel product since 1995. Since 2001, when MRP Motorsport started to support the Rotax line, Tim has been the head of MRP's motor department with wins in DD2, Masters and Mini Max to back up his work.

Tim’s experience in the karting also includes accomplishments in the driver’s seat. In 2001, Tim won the first Rotax Grand Nationals and although he does not race full time any more, the years spent in the seat along with spending 22 years in the industry make Tim a trusted pillar in the karting community.
